A look into Bali Villas
I can talk and do the general spiel about Bali Villas, but this one will be a surface image/marketing one - as of today, August 1st, 2023 - the demand in the tourist sector for villas is through the roof. I'm not a great business person, but from observation and collecting photos and prices, I can say confidently from YTD the price has minimumly increased 50% and there are tighter constraints in the market.
These constaints are just due to basic economic efficency. You can look at a google satellite map and see how minimal construction really puts the people that have a villa already constructed in the lead -
You can see lots of green, and and not to much construction - the area in the border is called Canggu, and it's going through a crazy time of "gentrification" from rice fields to building whatever will stand up - hopefully for a long time.
But theres always opportunity, one example is flipping/renovating older houses - find them cheap, get it for a few years or purchase the lot outright and get started:
Oh, just sit back and just find something ready to go with no garden (sad) and just pay a premium for it - this one for example costs about 450,000,000 IDR/yr or if you're lucky, 45,000,000 IDR a month (crazy, right?)
I've renovated a few Bali Villas, so I'll make a post about a few personal examples and talk about the math and construction - but basically it's the same regardless of country.
