Biking around Bali

I love cycling. I'd like to think I know a thing or two about road bikes/gravel bikes - and let me say that in general, Bali is a sucky place for cycling. It's unsafe, dangerous but can be quite fun if you can make it work.

If you make it out of civilization, you'll find nice open rice fields which, are pretty safe and much more reasonable then squeezing yourself between the scooter, motorcycle, car and truck traffic. They just don't care and treat you like crap, honk their own, hover, just to get one meter in front of you and then you pass them anyway.

The beaches are amazing, the views endless - but it is a bit lonesome, the community isn't really here and it makes sense, biking kinda sucks here.
